It’s a great honour when you choose me to capture your photos. I’m thankful every day for the chance to do this for so many great people.

My mission is to make you look at your pictures and feel a sense of awe in how fantastic you look. My photoshoots are both fun and memorable, creating an experience you’ll never forget. If this is one of the first times you have professional photographs taken, you may have questions of how the experience unfolds and I’m here to provide answers to your questions.

BEFORE THE SHOOT

Consultation

We will first connect by phone, video conference or in person so I can learn about your vision, preferences, and expectations. During this consultation we will chat about various themes, styles and your desired mood of the portraits. We will review my portfolio to see which photography styles you like best so I can understand about your vision, preferences, and expectations and introduce you to my work. Once you decide if you would like to go ahead and book a session, we will also dive deeper into the details and plan the photoshoot, finalize the concept and discuss location options. This will provide us with a comprehensive plan tailored to your vision and could include various portrait styles in one shoot; we can fit a professional headshot look and a glam shoot all in one session, providing you with many photos that fit your needs. To suit your schedule, the consultation can take place in-person, by phone or by video conference.

Wardrobe Selection (can be combined with consultation)

Once we establish your dream portrait style, it’s time to explore your dream wardrobe. I will help you select outfits that match your style, look stunning in photographs, and compliment the photoshoot theme. We can review wardrobe options from your closet or I can provide you with recommendations for clothing rentals and purchases. After this consultation, we’ll have a curated selection of outfits for the photoshoot, ensuring variety and elegance. I will also provide guidance on accessories, shoes and other props so we have complementary pieces to enhance each outfit and discuss the overall look.

Pre-Shoot Glam Session (often combined with wardrobe selection)

We’ll then discuss the overall look for hair and make-up so we have a cohesive look and a flawless appearance on the day of the shoot. We’ll decide on best makeup and hair looks to suit each outfit. If you choose, we can take care of your hair and makeup, and in those cases, I’ll communicate the looks to the makeup artist and hairstylist. If you prefer to do your own makeup/hair, I’ll provide you with suggestions based on our consultation that will help you create beautiful makeup and hair yourself. I’ll also provide

PHOTOSHOOT DAY

Arrival

When you arrive, fresh faced and ready-for-styling hair, you’ll be ready for professional styling. If you chosen to do your own makeup, I recommend adding extra time for makeup application at the studio or arriving ready for location shoots. You’ll want to book a night out after the photoshoot because you’ll look gorgeous and you should enjoy it! After makeup and hair is complete, it’s time to get dressed and start the photoshoot.

Photoshoot

During the shoot, I’ll use various props, lenses and backdrops to fit the themes we decided. This means that you have a variety of looks to choose from. During this time, I’ll guide you to ensure you look your very best. I’ll help you achieve various complimentary body poses, facial expressions and looks. I’ll utilize different lighting techniques and backgrounds to create a variety of looks. The outcome? The result will be the most stunning photos you've ever seen of yourself.

POST-PHOTOSHOOT

Image Selection & Retouching

Your images will be slightly cleaned up and prepared for viewing but will not be finalized yet. This process takes up 1-2 weeks. We will book another consultation to go over each image so we can select your favourites and I can inform you of final retouching steps I’ll take. The package you choose or create and how much you spend is entirely up to you (I don’t hard sell!). When we meet, I will also show you all my beautiful products, boxes, albums and wall art. We will go over various print paper styles to narrow down the style you like best. This is the fun part, choosing your photos and finalizing your order.

Final Reveal

I can’t wait to present you with your order and retouched images. We’ll meet for a final reveal session so you can view your portraits, albums, wall art or folio boxes for the fist time. I can’t wait to see your delighted face as you open the collection of exquisite portraits that you’ll cherish forever.
